What do you think of the ship build? We used all basic Lego bricks. The mast, sail, and cannons are some of our favorites.

Here are the Pirates ready to storm the island and claim the treasure.

The good guys are prepared to defend the treasure from the Pirates. This will be a tough battle, but our heroes are prepared to protect the treasure at all costs.

The treasure hideaway has sleeping quarters for the heroes protecting the treasure and the island.

This fish jumping out of the water was fun to add. The supplies collected on the island are also pretty neat.

  • Knights and Dragons on the Battlefield

Knights and Dragons on the Battlefield

Once upon a time, in a magical land full of enchantment and bravery, there were two mighty castles standing side by side. One castle belonged to the benevolent Good King, while the other was occupied by the mischievous Black Knight.

The Good King was known far and wide for his wisdom and kindness. He had a remarkable Gold Knight in his service, who was not only skilled in combat but possessed a heart as pure as gold. Both of them were determined to protect their kingdom from the fearsome Red Fire Dragon that had been threatening their lands.

As the sun rose high in the sky, signaling the beginning of the epic battle, the Gold Knight adorned his shimmering golden armor and mounted his loyal steed. With the Good King by his side, they set off towards the battlefield.

The clash of swords and the thunderous roar of dragons echoed through the land as the battle commenced. The Black Knight, fueled by greed and darkness, fought with all his might against the Gold Knight. Despite the Black Knight’s wicked tactics, the Gold Knight’s unwavering courage and noble spirit prevailed.

High above, the Red Fire Dragon unleashed torrents of fiery breath, seeking to engulf the kingdom in its destructive flames. But the Good King, undeterred, conjured powerful spells and shielded his people from harm, protecting them with his wise and mighty presence.

With every strike, the Gold Knight’s sword resonated with justice and valor. He darted through the chaos, parrying the Black Knight’s attacks, and bringing hope to the hearts of their people. The battle raged on, but the forces of goodness and righteousness were determined not to be defeated.

Finally, the moment arrived when the Gold Knight clashed his sword against the Black Knight’s, shattering the darkness that consumed him. The Black Knight, realizing the error of his ways, surrendered, and a glimmer of redemption touched his soul.

Meanwhile, the Good King, with his immense wisdom, devised a plan to vanquish the Red Fire Dragon once and for all. He called upon the ancient powers of the elements, uniting earth, wind, water, and fire to create an impenetrable barrier. The dragon’s fiery wrath was extinguished, and it retreated, never to threaten the kingdom again.

The people rejoiced as the battle came to an end. The Gold Knight, having proven his worth.

Here is my drawing of a happy brachiosaurus. It’s light, happy, and he is eating leaves. Tree stars 🌳.

This pet of the image is dark. The Carnotaur is eating a parasaurolophus. There is a volcano and lightning ⚡️. And a scared chicken and pterodactyl.

Light and dark. Which is your favorite?

  • Jesus Calms the Storm Lego

    Jesus Calms the Storm Lego

We read the Bible story of Jesus calming the storm. We recreated the scene with Lego bricks. TD Bricks has a cool tutorial on YouTube for making Lego waves.

It worked! Here the storm is about to sink the boat with all the disciples, until Jesus is woken up to rebuke the sea.

    Jesus Calms the Storm

35 As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” 36 So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). 37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.

38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”

39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!”Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

41 The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”

Here’s the video from TD Bricks. Be sure to follow him for fun Lego inspiration.

  • Origami Lizard

    Origami Lizard

This is a fun origami project. The little guy found his way into our tree to hang out for the day. Here’s a cute short story imagined about our little lizard friend.

“The Enchanting Escapades of Oliver the Radiant Lizard and Emily”

Once upon a time, in a quiet little neighborhood, there was a tree that stood tall and proud in a backyard. This tree was no ordinary tree, for it had become a favorite spot for a colorful lizard named Oliver. With vibrant scales that shimmered in the sunlight, Oliver was a sight to behold.

One sunny morning, as the 12-year-old girl named Emily stepped into her backyard, she noticed a flash of color out of the corner of her eye. Curiosity sparked within her as she tiptoed closer to the tree, spotting Oliver basking in the warmth of the morning rays.

Emily was immediately captivated by the beauty of the lizard and decided to extend her friendship to this dazzling creature. Slowly and cautiously, she approached Oliver, offering a friendly smile and a gentle hello. To her delight, Oliver responded with a flick of his tail, as if understanding her welcoming gesture.

From that day forward, a magical bond formed between Emily and Oliver. Together, they embarked on exciting adventures that took them to the farthest corners of their imagination. Oliver led Emily to hidden places in the backyard, where they discovered secret gardens and tiny creatures that the ordinary eye could never fathom.

As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, they shared countless laughter and created precious memories. Oliver’s colorful scales brightened Emily’s days, and his playful nature brought out the childlike spirit within her. They climbed tree branches, explored forests, and even ventured into imaginary lands where dragons roamed and unicorns danced.

Through their adventures, Oliver taught Emily the importance of embracing the beauty of nature and cherishing the smallest wonders around them. In return, Emily showered Oliver with kindness and affection, ensuring he always felt loved and safe.

Their friendship grew stronger with each passing day, transcending the boundaries of size and species. They became inseparable companions, inspiring each other to be brave, curious, and compassionate.

As the years went by, Emily grew older and began to venture into the wider world beyond her backyard. But no matter where life took her, she never forgot the vibrant lizard who had brightened her childhood.

To this day, Emily still fondly reminisces about her time with Oliver, the colorful lizard who had once hung out in the tree of her backyard. Their friendship remains etched in her heart as a reminder of the extraordinary joy that can be found.
